Melvin Dittberner

Melvin C. Dittberner, age 79, of Cambridge, died Monday, November 28, 2005, at his home.
Melvin Carl Dittberner was born December 15, 1925, at Leaf Valley, to August and Alma Dittberner. He was raised in Parkers Prairie and on October 26, 1950, he was united in marriage to Doreen Jante. They farmed near Parkers Prairie and when their children were young they moved to Minneapolis. Melvin worked at FMC in Fridley for many years. After retiring they remained in Minneapolis until 1999, when they moved to Cambridge. Melvin enjoyed woodworking, making yard decorations and working on word-find books.
He is survived by his wife Doreen, son Winfred Dittberner of Brook Park, daughter Maxine (Danny) Haugen of Cambridge, brother Walter (Delores) Dittberner of Cloquet, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents August and Alma, son Raymond, brother Bennie, and sister Edna.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 1st, at Spring Lake Lutheran Church in rural North Branch with Rev. Timothy Bjorge officiating. Crystal Peterson served as organist. Melvin’s grandchildren Jay, Sam, Dana, Jesse, Miles, Butch, Joel and Corey were pallbearers.
Interment will be in Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
