David Looker
1951 – 2005
David was born on August 26, 1951, to William & Mabel Foeltz Looker in Parkers Prairie. He graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1969. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. After his time in the military, David returned to live in Alexandria and worked as a separator operator for Land O’Lakes. He married Becky Bohnenstingl in Dumont, on July 10, 1971. In 1983, they moved to Miltona. David started his own painting & staining business and worked with his son at Final Touch Siding & Gutters.
David was a member and Past Commander of the Miltona VFW Post #7826 and was presently the Quartermaster. He had many interests and hobbies. He loved to go snowmobiling, deer hunting and fishing. He was also a great backyard mechanic and gardener. Nascar racing and football were some of his favorite sports. But his greatest joy came from being with his family and seeing his grandsons grow.
Survived by his wife Becky of Miltona, son Brent and Norah, also of Miltona, grandsons Cory, Bryce & Carson, two sisters Lori and Jim Allguire of Alexandria, Karen and Dale Anderson of Garfield, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Virgil Looker.
David died on Monday, May 30, 2005, at the V.A. Hospital in St. Cloud.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2nd, at the Lind Family Funeral Service, Miltona Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Thiele officiating. Music was provided by organist Kevin Lee. Burial took place in Parkers Praririe Cemetery with full military honors.
Pallbearers were Roger Schwartz, Kevin Steidl, Cliff Wunderlich, Cal Christenson, Grant Wunderlich and Leon Wunderlich.
Honorary pallbearers were the V.F.W. Post #7826 Honor Guard.
