Walter G. Welch
1928 – 2005
Walter Gordon Welch, age 77 of Forest Lake, died Friday, April 29, 2005.

Walter was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Since his early retirement in 1985, he worked extensively with youth at Crossroads Evangelical Covenant Church. Walter and his wife Frances were also foster parents.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, May 4th, at Crossroads Evangelical Covenant Church, 17445 Notre Dame St., Forest Lake.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife Frances, parents Robert and Frieda, brothers Lawrence and Wallace, and niece Claudia.
He is survived by daughters Rebecca Welch, Sandra (Ricky) Barker, and Jennifer Welch, grandchildren Stephanie Welch, Jeremy (Sasha) Barker, and Rachel (Daniel) Hagan, five great-grandchildren Liberty and Cadence Hagan, Gabriel, Evelyn and Elijah Barker, sisters Inez (Robert) Agar, Lavaun Berry, brother Larry Welch, along with several nephews and nieces.
