Proposals, specifications, plans and other contract documents are available for review at the Parkers Prairie City Hall, 102 N Otter Avenue, Parkers Prairie, MN 56361, and at the office of Design Tree Engineering, 120 17th Avenue W, Alexandria, MN 56308.  Proposals, specifications, plans and other contract documents can be also purchased by mail, upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $125 for each contract package through Design Tree Engineering.


Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who purchase Bidding Documents as specified above.  In the submitting of bids, the Bidder must return the entire complete Proposal.


Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Battle Lake for at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal.


The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the Owner.  No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of opening the bids.

mini split A/C project from the Summer projects.

Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hart and carried, to add LED lighting in two

hallways in the High School.

Motion by Oeltjenbruns, seconded by Wagner and carried, to purchase five new

copiers with service contract from Marco in the amount of $37,290 and attempt to

sell the current copiers. If not sold, they will be returned to Marco.

• Window replacement at the Elementary and handicap vans were also

discussed.

• The Elementary School Safety Grant was discussed.

Tail County Correspondent

Missing person found

uninjured near Henning

Sheriff deputies reported

that a 51-year-old man who

was reported missing in the

Henning area was found safe

early in the evening on June

18.

Assisting the county sheriff

office were personnel from

the Henning police and fire

departments as well as from

Henning Ambulance.

Deputies said a helicopter

with LifeLink also responded

and conducted a search of the

area. The search lasted close

to three hours.

There were no criminal

charges in this matter and the

public was not in danger.

Arrest made for fifth

degree drug possession

Sheriff deputies, during a

traffic stop near Clitherall at

6:50 a.m. on June 22, arrested

a man for fifth degree drug

possession.

The arrest was made near

the intersection of Highways

210 and 5.

Deputies also noted that

the driver was operating his

vehicle after revocation of his

driver’s license. Charges were

forthcoming in county court,

Fergus Falls.

Area resident scammed

A county resident who

resides near Wrightstown

in southeastern Otter Tail

County, northeast of Parkers

Prairie, became the victim of

a scam on May 24.

A caller said the county

resident was being charged

with a drug traffic violation.

The Wrightstown area resident

denied this but the caller

said that, in order to clear up

the matter, a Social Security

number was required.

The county resident gave

the Social Security number,

later realizing this was

a mistake. The sheriff office

was contacted and the resident

was advised to contact

the family bank right away

and also to contact the credit

reporting agencies.

Stolen vehicle recovered

A stolen vehicle was recovered

June 6 near Henning, on

196th Street south of town.

The vehicle was out of gas

when found by law enforcement.

Some items had been

taken from inside the vehicle.

Boat flips but

passengers ok

Four passengers in a boat

escaped injury when the

boat flipped near the West

Lost Lake access, north of

Underwood, on June 7.

The incident took place at

4:12 p.m. The boat was later

retrieved from the water.
