NOTICE OF

PUBLIC HEARING

The City Council will consider a

re-zone request from the Independent

School District #547 following a Public

Hearing, which will be held on Monday,

September 16, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the

Parkers Prairie City Hall (102 North

Otter Avenue, Parkers Prairie).

The public is invited to speak at the

Public Hearing in either opposition or

support of the request.

The property involved is located

at 413 South Douglas Avenue in

Parkers Prairie (parcel number

75000990350001), and is currently

zoned R-1 (Single Family Residential).

The school district plans to have the

house on the property moved, and

would like to construct a garage/shed

which would be used to store school

vehicles and other equipment used for

the school.

The proposed use of the property is not

consistent with the “permitted uses” or

“conditional uses” for R-1 properties in

the current City Zoning Ordinance.

The school district is requesting a

rezoning of the parcel, from R-1 to

Commercial. The high school is zoned

commercial as well.

Members of the public may appear,

either in person or by agent or attorney,

to express their opposition or support.
